Hydro Ottawa is committed to preventing, identifying and removing barriers that impede accessibility. Our goal is to provide customer service in a manner that respects the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity.

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act supports our goal to make everyday life barrier-free for people with disabilities. The Act requires organizations like Hydro Ottawa to address barriers to accessibility in five categories: Customer Service, Transportation, Information and Communications, Employment and Built Environments.

Temporary Disruptions

Hydro Ottawa will make every reasonable effort to provide customers, employees and any others, notification in the event of a planned or unexpected disruption in the facilities or services usually used by people with disabilities. This notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated duration, and a description of alternate facilities or services, if available.
